Technology
Digital X-Rays
Digital x-rays are a 2-D type of dental imaging that allows us to send images directly to a computer for storage. In a matter of seconds, we can view the images on a monitor screen.
Additionally, digital x-rays offer several other advantages over traditional film x-rays. The software allows us to enhance and enlarge the image, which helps our dentist see even the tiniest changes, which wouldn't be seen during a visual oral exam.
Digital images can also be sent electronically to a specialist or a new dentist if you move. Digital images are safer for you because they significantly reduce the amount of exposure to which you’re exposed. Finally, digital images are better for the environment since we don’t have to dispose of the potentially hazardous materials used with film x-rays.
Intraoral Cameras
Intraoral cameras are a special type of camera developed specifically for use in dentistry. This handheld instrument allows us to show you images of your mouth so you get a clear picture of what’s happening and why treatment is necessary. An intraoral camera is very small, about the size of a pen.
Using the intraoral camera, we can show you clear, precise images of your teeth and gums. This information helps you see what we see and also allows us to make an accurate diagnosis. The clear, enlarged images, show us details that may be missed during a standard visual exam. This means faster and better diagnosis and less chair time for you!
The images we take with the intraoral cameras are stored digitally at our office. This allows us to develop a comprehensive history of your treatment and share it with your insurance company or specialists as needed.

Insurance can be tricky to understand, but we're here to help you figure out what your insurance covers and what portion of treatment cost you'll be responsible for. We're in-network with many insurance providers, and we will also file all claims. CareCredit is a third-party financing option that works like an interest-free revolving credit card account for healthcare expenses. Once you're approved, you can spread the cost of treatments over time to make your payments more manageable. Simply pay the balance in the agreed time period, and you won't be charged any interest.
CareCredit is an excellent program for receiving the dental care you need, but financing can also be used for other wellness expenses like vision care, cosmetic treatments, and even veterinary care! Just give us a call and we'll be happy to explain the program and help you fill out an application.
